Annual Award Recognizes 84 Companies
With Workplace Distinction
Synergent was recently named as one of the 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine. The awards program was created in 2006 and is a project of the Maine State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management (MESHRM) and Best Companies Group.
The Best Places to Work in Maine list recognizes companies that have established a consistently outstanding workplace environment. The program is part of a long-term initiative to encourage growth and excellence in businesses across Maine. The 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine list is comprised of 84 companies in three distinct size categories: small (15-49 U.S. employees), medium (50-249 U.S. employees), and large (250+ U.S. employees). Synergent was recognized in the medium size category.
“Our company is committed to providing our employees a supportive work environment where they can grow and thrive,” said Cris Wescott, Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Facilities. “We view ourselves as one big family and we are thrilled to have our name on the 2020 Best Places to Work in Maine list.”
Earlier this summer, the Synergent entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Maine. The first part consisted of evaluating workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process, analyzed the data, and used their expertise to determine the top companies and final rankings.
Next month, recipients named as the Best Places to Work in Maine will be recognized in a special edition of Mainebiz. The publication will announce the placing of each of these Best Places to Work in Maine companies.
“It is an honor to be recognized,” said Todd Mason, President/CEO of Synergent. “Our dedicated employees are at the heart and soul of everything we do. This accolade is an acknowledgement of their hard work and their commitment to our People Helping People philosophy.”
