My Synergent continues to evolve and grow as a hub and tool for credit unions. We are pleased to announce the newest feature that is now live: the My Synergent Episys User Group.

Credit unions who are on the Symitar® Episys® core processor hosted by Synergent have been able to participate in the Episys User Group. Each quarter, Synergent facilitates at least one meeting that connects Episys users and helps them communicate with one another. The leadership team for the Episys User Group is comprised of six credit union staff members from across the Synergent footprint who serve in a variety of roles.

“The true purpose of the Episys User Group is for credit union staff to come together to exchange ideas, learn how others are using Episys, hear about new solutions and features, and have fellow credit union contacts who are also using Episys each day,” explained Amy Keaten, Product Owner – Technology for Synergent. “Being able to create a place within My Synergent for this collaboration to continue streamlines communication and allows for further opportunities for collaboration.”

Each meeting has specific topics that are identified by the leadership team for the Episys User Group. When permitted, the meetings are held in-person, though they have been held online throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. All Synergent credit union customers who are on Episys are members of and can participate in the Episys User Group.

How It Works

The My Synergent Community was created in response to feedback from the leadership team for the Episys User Group. This is the first Community Group launched, though others are intended to be implemented in the future.

“This is truly a place for credit unions to interact,” shared Keaten. “It is for credit unions, moderated by credit unions. It is a place for them to ask each other questions while eliminating the need for email. All participants can be reached at once and benefit from the shared exchanges. If credit unions have support questions, those should be submitted to Synergent as a Case.”

Postings are live and resemble a user-friendly social media chat thread. Participants have the option to follow specific topics if they wish. When a question is posted, multiple responses can be added and group members can indicate which answers they feel best answer the question. Discussions also are searchable by keyword, and in searches, if there are related knowledge articles, those also will pop up in the results.

A link also is provided in the my Synergent Episys User Group to the Credit Union Idea Form, where credit unions can easily submit feedback and ideas to Synergent’s Product Development team. This is the same form that is also found in the Roadmap in My Synergent. The information collected is gathered as market evidence and reviewed routinely in Product Development.

Accessing the My Synergent Episys User Group

The Episys User Group in My Synergent went live on June 23. To log in to the Episys User Group Community in My Synergent, simply follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your My Synergent Portal
  2. Click the Synergent User Groups Menu Item
  3. Click Episys User Group
