Holiday Meals for Mainers Returns for Another Season of Giving

Nov 24, 2025 | Blog, Ending Hunger, Social Responsibility

As the holidays draw near, the Campaign for Ending Hunger’s Holiday Meals for Mainers initiative will once again get underway—and the need has never been greater. The government shutdown and delays in SNAP assistance mean more families here in our home state of Maine are struggling to keep food on the table and wondering how they’ll make it through the season.

Now in its 35th year, the Campaign for Ending Hunger—Synergent’s ongoing signature social responsibility initiative—has never stopped working to make sure no Mainer goes hungry. A meal is more than food—it’s comfort, dignity, and hope. Every $2 donated can help provide a meal for a family of four. Every dollar counts and every donation helps someone who might otherwise go without.

We’re asking for you to join us in spreading the word, inspiring generosity, and making a tangible difference this holiday season. The Campaign runs November 14 through December 27, with a special push on Giving Tuesday, December 2 to reach a set goal of 3,500 meals, selected in honor of the Campaign for Ending Hunger’s 35th anniversary.

Let’s make this season a little brighter for our neighbors who are facing hunger. When we come together as People Helping People, we show what community truly means. A meal may seem small, but to someone in need, it can be the greatest gift of all. Please consider making a donation today.
