Seaboard FCU Visa Usage and Credit Card Awareness Campaign

Campaign yielded 15% increase in credit card transactions and 1.98% increase in debit

Seaboard Federal Credit Union, headquartered in Bucksport, Maine, launched a multi-target campaign to increase credit card activation and awareness. They also wanted to increase both debit and credit card usage.

Partnering with Synergent, they set a goal to increase overall card usage and awareness. Using a seasonal theme that incorporated autumn backgrounds and graphics that reflected the behaviors they wanted members to adopt, the campaign used emails and postcards to deliver their offer to members: to earn triple points on all purchases and balance transfers by activating their Seaboard Visa Credit Card, along with no annual fees, competitive rates, and a 25-day grace period on purchases.

The campaign was a huge success, with a 15% increase in total credit card and 1.98% increase in total debit card transactions over the same period the prior year!
